Gideon Cross. As beautiful and flawless on the outside as he was damaged and tormented on the inside. He was a bright, scorching flame that singed me with the darkest of pleasures. I couldn't stay away. I didn't want to. He was my addiction... my every desire... mine.

My past was as violent as his, and I was just as broken. We’d never work. It was too hard, too painful... except when it was perfect. Those moments when the driving hunger and desperate love were the most exquisite insanity. We were bound by our need. And our passion would take us beyond our limits to the sweetest, sharpest edge of obsession...

My Thoughts

Although, this book is classified as an erotic read it actually is so much more. Emotions are high, and although Eva has stopped running away, it seems these two still have alot(a ton) to work on.

Gideon and Eva are back, right where book one left off.
Their relationship seemed to be taking a better direction, aside from their insecurities and Gideon's attempt to do everything for Eva. He seems to control her throughout most of this book, and I really didn't care for that aspect. The way Gideon seemed to lust, and control after Eva was a bit stalkish. I didn't like the way he knew what and where she was, almost all of the time. Then when she did something that was not "smart" in his eyes, he flew off the handle.

I also had a difficult time with the way Gideon pushes Eva away and pulls her back, like a yo-yo, with no explanations. Eva seemed to be stronger than the way she was portrayed, and we do catch glimpses of her strength, but damn, what Gideon did to her(second half of the book), seemed unexplainable, and I was at loss as to which direction Miss Day was taking. I don't think I could put up with what Eva put up with, #Hell2theno! Although, the ending does unwrap the why's to what Gideon was doing, I still had a hard time with it. I'm not going to spoil it for you, read it and you'll see! Gideon does sacrifice alot for Eva....But, it seems to be as much as a sacrifice for her, also.

What I liked was the way we see a vulnerable side to Gideon, as we rarely get a glimpse of it. I also loved when it was just them together, alone in the beach house.

I also liked the way Eva's past "love", is everything Gideon isn't and how after all the years they were apart, he still held a spark for her. I also loved when Eva finally stood up, and basically said NO MORE!! I loved Eva toward the end when she fought for her relationship and sanity. I also loved how she held out hope, but I'm not sure I could of dealt with what she goes through, in the relationship, overall. It seems like too much work, for these two to actually have a relationship.

Gideon and Eva's relationship felt like a roller coaster. Battered and broken at times with emotions running on high. For me, this book didn't meet the same expectations as Bared To You did. I felt it missed it's mark as far as the thrills, excitement, and overall sex we first saw in Bared. I raced through Bared, but Reflected seemed to be more of a challenge to get through.

Would I recommend it-yes, will I think you will enjoy it? Yes, but be warned it's not nearly as good as Bared
3.5/5 stars
